Always Hang in and after installation

Hello, I am a beginner.

I hope I post in this site correctly and I hope you can accept my bad english.

 

When I install mac osx86, it always hang and stop installation.

At last, I tried many times untill the installtion completed.

However, it still oftenly hang when I do some operation,

for example, installing software, opening applications, copying files and even surfing the Internet with safari.

How it hangs? Just stop and my cursor cannot move, sometimes it shows a message "Please restart" in multiple language with a darkened background.

It makes me tired......

 

My machine information is following:

Intel Pentium 4 2.28GHz, SSE2

786 mb Ram

Installed os dvd: Mac OSX x86 10.4.3 build 8f1111 patched with Wesley's patch

(before this, I have tried Apple.OS.X.x86.Developer.Kit.Install.DVD-deadmoo and still hang)
