New OSx86 user trying to install on IBM T43

So i have been researching most of the evening and it looks to be that OSx86 is pretty much hardware specific. Google nor and of the OSx86 sites have come up with the exact laptop I am working on.

 

I have an IBM/Lenovo T43 2668-CTO

Intel Pentium M processor 2 Ghz

2GB Ram

 

The closest I can find are:

I cannot find anything on this particular model. Does anyone have any advice? Or does it not matter exactly what model I use if it is close?

Congratulations on doing some research before posting a question.

Try to find a guide with something as close as possible, processor, mb chipset, audio, network. (more research i'm afraid)

Make sure you have a backup of your current system before attempting an install.

And be prepared to install a few times before you get it right.
