felix1212
My home pc is i850 with 512MB RDRAM, P4 2.4MHz, Audigy Sound Card, 3Com-3c905c, and a modem card. When I tried to boot up, I was stuck on the Apple Logo with a little sign turning around. Finally the sign wouldn't move, and it was frozen there. I tried to move that HDD with tiger-x86 to another i865G motherboard at work, it can boot successfully. However, the color becomes black and white only. I could just merely see the word "Shut Down" so that I could switch off the computer. 1) Is there any workaround so that my i850 machine will use tiger-x86? What can cause the problem? 2) Why does the color look funky with the i865G one? 3) I prepared the tiger-x86 HD on my home pc. Does that mean I can just use that HD with exactly that pc only? Thanks a lot..... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1992-newbie-problems-on-boot-up/ Share on other sites
Velvet Nightmare
Try booting into verbose mode by typing "-v" without the quotes into Darwin. Also, safe mode is also good, and should be used first, boot with "-s" in Darwin, and get back to us with the results.
