nikeunltd
Hello! I am using iATKOS_v7 to fresh install 10.5.7 into my old pc with P4 ht 2.8 ghz prescott in a standard intel socket 478 motherboard. I selected the items in customize best i could. But i am not sure which kernel to use, or if i need those special features like OHR. Anyway, after installing was sucessful, it will hang/get locked in the bootscreen with the apple logo. There isnt any harddrive activity, nor my keyboard was functional. I didnt see a rotating ring, so i am sure it froze during boot up. Can someone help me please? If there is any more info you guys need i am happy to get it for you. below is my hardware ID's. thanks again! Lord_Jeremy
Yeah anything before a Core Duo (such as a Pentium) requires a custom kernel. iAtkos v7 comes with Voodoo 9.5.0 and 9.7.0. Either of those should work. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199071-iatkos_v7-on-pentium-4-ht-socket-478/#findComment-1340326 Share on other sites
ameris_cyning
Most likely the kernel is not the issue. If it was, he would have been put into an endless reboot loop. When you get to the Darwin boot screen, type the following in and take a picture: -v Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199071-iatkos_v7-on-pentium-4-ht-socket-478/#findComment-1341138 Share on other sites
