Paulie Zapps
I am planning on increasing my RAM on my computer from 1GB to 2GB (things are really starting to slow down), but I have already installed OSX. will it, like windows, automatically recognize the new RAM? I guess what I'm really asking is if the version of OSX installed on my hackintosh is dynamic, able to accept new hardware updates, like RAM or a new hard drive or things of that nature. please let me know just in case this information is relevant: I installed OSX via iATKOS v7 thanks guys! -Paulie Zapps Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/199004-does-osx-automatically-recognize-ram-updates/ Share on other sites
errandwolfe
Yes, it will auto recognize when you install new RAM. If you want a suggestion though, I would go with a total of 4 gig. Sure you may not actually need it, but most RAM is so cheap nowadays, it is worth it to have.
