krazyannebanks
hello there osx86 community! im in a bit of a jam... the hard drive on my imac just died. and i need to edit some footage for work. instead of buying a new drive (cant afford to fix it at this point, with the economy in such {censored} shambles), i want to try and install this osx thingie on my pc. i have seen others at work who run mac os and final cut without any problems on their machines. i would like to know if it is at all possible to do so on mine. i downloaded a copy of snow lep. 10.6 10a432 universal 3.5, and before i attempt to install it, i would love to hear some advice and guidance from u pros out there!! so here are my machine specs: intel pent d 2.8 2gb ram intel d865gsa board sb400 audigy nvidia 6600gt thank u for the help in advance!!!!! <3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/198978-anyone-care-to-help-a-damsel-in-distress-osx86-on-intel-pentium-d/ Share on other sites
errandwolfe
Well for starters I wouldn't use 10.6. You might have more luck with a 10.5.8 install. The distros are more geared for an easy install. Once you have learned what you are doing and you are sure you have compatible hardware, then you can move up to 10.6.x.
