airrob Posted June 16, 2006 Share Posted June 16, 2006 So I finally got Myzar's 10.4.5 image installed - and it's fantastic! Now I just have a couple questions. 1. I've enabled wireless, which is a Dell 1370 or Broadcom 4318. However, I modified /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist to show Airport instead of LAN. Is there any way to have both enabled? 2. I have a Dell D610 with an ATI X300 video card. I've changed the resolution, but I want to make sure my video card is fully supported. Are there drivers I should install for this? Do I have CoreImage or QE (which I need for iLife right?) enabled without them? 3. What exactly is "mouse tearing"? I don't think my cursor is screwed up, but maybe I'm not looking for the right thing. 4. Is there a way to customize the boot menu? Right now it's Apple's boot menu (Darwin?). Will it boot Ubuntu as well when I install it in a couple days? Is there any way to customize the partitions available for booting there and their names? 5. What's the best browser for OSX? Firefox, Camino, Safari? 6. Are there any other post-installation tweaks I should do to speed this up or make it better? This is so exciting! I appreciate any help I can get - thanks in advance!
