angelh
Hi all, I managed to get Snow Leopard Retail working on an Asus P5Q-Pro (Core 2 Quad Q9550, 9800GTX+). Everything is working fine so far: 10.6.2 installed, Graphic card, Network, PS2Keyboard, BT and Sound. Even sleep mode is working fine with one restriction: after waking up from sleep-mode, the sound is buggy. It's like a rasping sound, with background noises. This is hard to explain. After rebooting everything is fine again. Is there a fix for that? Alternatively it would be sufficient to restart the audio drivers but I don't know if this is possible in MacOSX. I really appreciate any help. Best regards, Angy Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/198387-sound-bug-on-1062-on-p5q/ Share on other sites

angelh
Use SleepWatcher to fix the Sound upon Wake-Up from Sleep. Thanks for quick reply! Could you provide anymore details? From SleepWatcher's description this is just a tool providing customizing functionality while the sleep/wakeup process. I cannot imagine that installing SleepWatcher will solve the issue out-of-the-box. Furthermore, this tool runs with Mac OS X 10.3 to 10.5 and I'm using 10.6.2. Is there a confirmation it will work on SL? I fixed the problem by following this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=161430 But I'm still stuck with the problem that after entering the sleep, PC immediatelly restarts.
