I'm a Pac Posted November 18, 2009 Share Posted November 18, 2009 I have been trying to get my Hackintosh to work for about 3 weeks. Now that I've actually got it booting to Leopard, there are a few problems: 1. My screen resolution is stuck at 1024x768. I need a kext for the Nvidia GeForce 7000M to get it up to 1080x800 2. My sound is not working, but in a very strange way. In the Sound subsection in System Prefrences, my sound card, a Nvidia mcp67 High Definition Audio Device, isn't listed, but when i move the external volume dial on the side of my laptop, the volume control dialog comes up, with it at full volume, but with the crossed-out-circle below it. I've looked everywhere, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Can anyone out there help? Thanks in advance. Ok so I did a bunch of extensive searching and I cannot find any kexts specifically for your GeForce 7000m. A crudload of searching turned up this topic, which offers a possible solution. Unfortunately, I'm going to guess that it won't work because of the whole shared memory thing. As for your audio, what drivers are you using? As far as I know, VoodooHDA works with most audio configurations. I'm a Pac Posted November 19, 2009 Author Share Posted November 19, 2009 OK, update! I tried the VoodooHDA, and I couldn't boot without going into -x. Probably because I have an AMD. Don't think I should have installed it. Well, you don't know if you don't try. I just looked at the installer you linked, and it's only for Tiger. Bummer. For future reference, it's usually difficult to find support for an existing system. Your best bet in getting a functional system is to build it from known compatible components.
