DDRisamazing
Hi... Im Running a DESKTOP With A Kalyway install updates all the way to 10.5.8 with a VoodoXNU 9.6.0 Kernel. When i open System identifier it says That this Computer is A MacBook Pro When It is a Desktop. Should this be Mac Pro for SMBIOS? And is this a Bad thing or not... Please Assist Thank you ^^ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/197890-wrong-model-identifier-in-system-profiler/ Share on other sites

supermx3
Its just really a cosmetic thing, sometimes different model tags can make it try to load some kexts that are specific to that model but if its working i wouldnt worry about it unless your comfy changing it. My GFs laptop thinks its a Mac Pro and it works fine.
