OB/GYN Kenobi
The existing mobile hardware compatibility list is organized by entire systems. Most of the systems are obsolete since they are more than 15 hours old. What components in ANY mobile system make it a better choice. Looking over desktop system guides there are certain video cards and onboard peripherals such as LAN, ACHI, and sound that are better and worse. Is there a way to "grade" mobile components in a similar way? Obviously C2D/Q processors are a good choice. AMD are probably a tiny bit less suited. Pentium and Centrino are probably bad choices. Are Ci7 mobile processors easy to hack? Onboard graphics in a desktop system is usually a bad thing. Do mobile GMA have the same issues? NVIDEA or ATi? Do certain video controllers work in any system? Or all graphics are mobo dependent in mobile systems? Do mobile makers report the architecture of their various mobos? Is there a way to accurately compare yesterday's successful hack with a current model with similar features Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/197604-mobile-components-to-help-grade-mobile-systems/ Share on other sites
