Guest Ethan Dunham
I purchased all the parts to build a really nice hackintosh this summer, but when the original motherboard went bad in the middle of a hot project, I forked over the $3000 for a new Mac Pro. I have since replaced the motherboard with a brand new shiny one. So here's what I've got: 1 x GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P P45 775 Motherboard 1 x EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR 9800GTX Video Card 1 x Power and Cooling S75QB Silencer 750W Quad Power Supply (Black) 1 x INTEL BX80580Q8200 Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33 GHz 1333 MHz Socket 775 4MB Desktop Processor 2 x 2GB OCZ DII800 memory modules (4GB total) 1 x WD 80GB Hard Drive (small I know, but perfect for a boot volume) 1 x Samsung DVD burner 1 x Encore NIC 10/100/1000 (so you don't have to rely on on-board NIC) 1 x SYBA USB Audio Adapter (so you don't have to rely on on-board audio) 1 x Beautiful, Mac-like Lian-Li Aliuminum case with DVD bezel. (It looks better than the Mac Pro IMHO) No software is included. Sorry. Hardware only at this point. Up to you to do the Hackintosh part. I took some pictures of the setup after I had intially built it. See here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fonthead/sets...57619877225935/ (Those pictures show dual video cards. I am only selling one of them. FYI) I spent almost $900 for this rig. I am selling for $675 including shipping (lower 48 states only please).
