Derek McLean
hi everyone i had an almost painless install of leopard on my samsung v30 laptop! only hassle i had was my dvd drive - its knackered, and so if the cd came to a rest, the next time it started spinning it wouldnt read! i got round that by choosing which drivers i needed at lightning speed, then hitting next, before the dvd stopped spinning from its last access. so the only drivers i chose were the voodoo kernel as i only have sse2 the legacy intel chipset the laptop display driver and the ps2 keyb/mouse (i forgot that 1st time and couldnt do anything!) so i have no sound and no wireless, yet my ethernet seemed to just work :-) however i want to add the extra drivers and have no idea how to do so! i saw utilities in the list for installing/removing kexts, but none of those were installed during installation, will i have to reinstall? also i have copied the iso to a usb in case i need to start again, but will i have to do something to make the usbdrive bootable? at least that way i wont have any problems with the dvd thanks everyone in advance, i hope someone can help me!
