Problem Installing

Hi all,

 

Totally new to this scene. Own a Macbook but built a gaming pc. Trying to install OS X on it so I can give the Macbook to my sister and still have an OS X computer.

 

Anyway, I tried following the LifeHacker install guide and created the flash drive booter and can successfully boot into it (chameleon or darwin or whatever loads up). However, after it tries to start the SL install screen (the white screen with the Apple logo pops up), the computer just restarts.

 

Any suggestions welcome...maybe I should try following a different guide?

 

Anyway here are some relevant computer specs:

 

Mobo: Elitegroup P55H-A Black Edition

CPU: Intel i5-750

Video: nVidia GTX 260

RAM: G-Skill DDR3 4gb (2x2gb)

Hard Drive: WD 500gb (first partition is Windows 7, left 150gb partition for OS X)
