mike689
Hey guys, new to the forums and OSx86 I've downloaded iPC OSx86 10.5.6 and burned it to a DVD to use on my ASUS X83V Laptop, here are its specs: Processor 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 Memory 4,096MB DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz Hard drive 250GB, 5,400rpm SATA Chipset Intel GM45 Express Graphics 512MB Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS When I try to boot from the DVD it gets to the gray apple logo screen and then restarts my laptop. When I boot with -v it reads out a lot of lines and then restarts (too quickly for me to look at what it even says). I've read through a few posts with similar problems to this and they suggest changing certain bios options (that aren't available in mine) or patching the ISO. Any and all help is very much appreciated! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/197324-ipc-dvd-boot-issues/ Share on other sites
mike689
I was able to take a quick snapshot of the readout that happens with -v for a split second before it reboots It doesnt look as if it gets any errors, it just reboots.
