hi everyone, trying to install snow leopard on my somewhat insanelymac. i am a noob when it comes to this so id appreciate any advise or hints that can be given!

when i try to boot from install dvd, it goes through the verbose section fine then hangs on a black screen and no action at all coming from the computer. I've tried disabling and enabling acpi, apic through the bios, neither one fixed anything. disabled speedstep to see if that would do anything and so far it somehow seemed to make install in verbose faster but other than that didnt do anything.

i need some help with this, if you guys can offer me some advice or a step by step guide as to how to do it i would be greatly appreciated!

specs:

asus p5qpl-am motherboard with intel g41/ich7 chipset, 4gb ram, 1 sata 1tb hitachi hard drive, 1 sata 750gb seagate hard drive, 1 ide lg dvd burner, 1 sata dvd burner by optiarc, intel core 2 quad q8200 2.33ghz processor, ati radeon hd 3650, intel x4500 g41 onboard video, realtek alc888 audio, atheros L1E LAN, REALTEK 8178B WIRELESS, MSI TV TUNER PLUS CARD, 1394 VIA BASED FIREWIRE CHIPSET.

can anyone please help me!?

Hi!!, i had the same problem on my Intel dg31pr, the solution for me, was in the BIOS in the section of DRIVE CONFIGURATION and DISABLE the ATUMATIC MODE and put in the MANUAL MODE and set the SATA disk's in NATIVE MODE and ATA OFF, and play a while with this section of DRIVE CONFIGURATION, i don't now why the install Snow Leopard make all the verbose process and before some graphic and menu language the screen remains black. good luck with your motherboard.

P.D. I follow this guide

But have the problem of black screen until the change in the BIOS.
