projekt k Posted November 12, 2009 Share Posted November 12, 2009 what are the best ones to buy? i'd like to hack one to have a tiny ass mac on the go just for random music projects. also can you dual boot these? edit: i found this chart http://gadgets.boingboing.net/2008/12/17/o...k-compatib.html i'd still like opinions though. edit number 2: ok so I am definetly interested in the HP Mini 311 series and hopefully it can be hacked. but a net book with 3 gigs of ram is what I need lol. anyways if anyone has any advice on any net books let me know. I like the MSI U100 but I think the screen is too small and it's generally underpowered - not that I require a ton of power, but that I think these single-core atoms are going to start getting phased out in the coming year and don't want to get stuck with a machine that's already outdated. I'm hoping for something that's at least 11.6", has something more powerful than an Atom, 3GBs RAM would be ideal, has the battery life of a netbook, and is easily hackable. that This doesn't seem to exist yet, so I suppose it's wise to wait a few more months until the Q1 2010 machines are rolled out.
