frenchc
First off, sorry for reviving this old-assed thread. This was the only way for me to post a new topic without making 5 useless posts. Photo Server/Workstation motherboard: Gigabyte X58A-UD7 or Asus P6T7? I am having a hard time choosing between these. The UD7 has everything I would ever need except ECC support, and since this is a server, that is a big strike against it for me. I would love for somebody to tell me ecc works as ecc ram in the UD7. It seems to be more osx friendly- down to three kexts. The Asus P6T6/P6T7 WS boards (I like the WS designation, Asus seems they put that over gaming) are also loaded and do support ECC, but from what I've read so far, seems to need like 10-15 kexts to get osx stable! Once again, I would like for somebody to tell me otherwise. I'm sure either motherboard will work fine for my needs. I just want a fairly stable server/workstation with few kexts.
