Installing on an older pc

I recently got the Iatkos_v7 dvd as I want to try out OSX. I tried installing with what looked like it might work but alas it did not. So I come here asking for help on what installation options to choose, im currently running an NEC Powermate i-Select XL5 but with some modifications. My setup is:

 

Intel Pentium 4

1GB Ram

Nvidia GeForce 5200

Apple Aluminum Keyboard

Logitech Mouse

120GB IDE HDD

Columbia 2 Motherboard

Generic SB Sound Card

Pioneer DVD/RW drive

Belkin Wireless G USB Wifi adapter
