Creidim77
First post, so I'll try to keep it brief. I have a Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe board, which seems to be compatible with SL. Running a Athalon64 X2 4200+, 2GB RAM, PCI-E 8800GT I found this article: http://www.insanelymac.com/2009/09/install...-pc-hackintosh/ But unfortunately I don't have access to a Mac at the moment (yet) I currently run a Dual boot setup with Mandriva 2010 and WinXP using Grub installed to the MBR of a 320G SATA drive. I would like to run SL off of a second HD entirely, without altering any partitions on my first drive. My Questions are as follows: 1. If I have my 'snow' drive in a USB external enclosure, and hook it to a Mac (still running Tiger AFAIK) can I partition and do the steps required that way, or does the drive need to be hooked to an 'internal' header/connection in order to do these steps? The Mac is a one-piece that I have no idea how to open or alter, so external connection is the only option available. 2. What Bootloader should I use for Triple booting? Is there a way to use Grub still, or will OS/X install it's own loader and recognize the XP/Linux partitions similar to how grub will detect other OS installs? and Lastly 3. Is there any method of prepping the hard drive drive & altering the DMG (like inject the AMD stuff and setup videocard etc) while in linux so I can just burn, then boot the modified SL disc ? I found 'Empire EFI' but it seems to be exclusively for Intel systems. I appreciate any input, and I'm not afraid of the command line, so any tips are appreciated. lemole
I have the same board with an Athlon 3700+ and had to spend the last month getting 10.5.6 to work properly. Snow Leopard is my next project. If nobody else responds to this topic who's farther along than I am, I'll keep you posted. I tried your settings but i'm getting a kernel panic. Could you post your BIOS settings and did you apply any other patches you may have not put up?
