I am running Mac OS X 10.6.1 (Vanilla) on GA-P35-DS3L, it runs perfecty til today. The god forsaken 10.6.2 update breaks my installation; I got kernel panic complain:

"Mis-match Kernel and CPU"

I am using the Q9400 and my SMBios.plist set to iMac10,1. I think starting from 10.6.2, Apple starts to check the CPU specs with the machine model. Now I need some advice what should I do, I could boot back to my old Leopard and change the SMBiost.plist file but then what model should I choose?!!!

I had the same problem, found somewhere in the forums that I should have deleted the SleepEnabler.kext before the upgrade. Had secondary drive in system and loaded clean SL install to boot to. Deleted the SleepEnabler file on the primary system disk from the secondary booted system disk. Pain in the ass but wasn't sure what else to do. Able to load back to primary system now in 10.6.2 on primary disk.

Too bad I do not have another drive to do flesh install. Can I boot by LiveCD of Ubuntu and delete the file?
