xxgg
Hello. Few days ago I misplaced my bag which had my Macbook Pro and was no where to be found when I returned after few minutes. I do not have any of those tracking software installed in my macbook so I won't be able to track it when it connects to internet. My most important question is... if the person who stole my macbook totally wipes out hdd (partition+format) and reinstalls OSX, is there any chance that I can still track my macbook by either MAC address of the airport and/or serial number/ hardware id? Wouldn't Apple be able to identify those informations if the theif does a osx update or something? or Apple does not correct/check any of those informations? Any advices would be helpful. Thank you. RaiDesu
If you do have, and remember the serial number, PowerMax.com has a report form so that buyers and other customers can submit into about stolen equipment into the database, and have other uses that located it assist in return. http://www.powermax.com/stolen/report Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/196828-how-can-i-track-my-macbook-pro/#findComment-1325848 Share on other sites
