smilinggoat
Hey guys, I'm considering building a Hackintosh. I'm an audio guy and I currently use a MacBook Pro but I want to build a beefy desktop machine in addition to my Apple laptop. Like I said, I'm an audio guy, so a fancy graphics card doesn't interest me. I'm considering the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P Intel P45 motherboard. All I need is a cheap ass PCI (or PCIx) video card that supports two monitors at the lowest price. Whether it's ATI, NVidia, or Intel doesn't matter, as long as it works. Any suggestions? tehcamel
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130389 efi-string with osx86tools and you've got dual monitors with qe save some cash and get a ga-ep45-ud3r instead. board is identical to the one you have selected except it doesn't include ati crossfire support. only has 1 firewire port however if you have a lot of goodies pcie firewire cards are cheap. slap a q9400s on top of that and yer jammin. if you don't need firewire there's always the ep45-ud3l. however if you're gonna get a quad then it maybe a good idea to invest in a board that has some superb mosfett and northbridge cooling.
