Ok. I have seen a lot of posts regarding setting up and dual booting osx86 and windows. Here's what I did.

1-2) Buy and install Partition Magic

3) use partition magic to resize the windows partition, you'll need to make a small)appx 40mb) fat32 partition for bootmagic, then make a ext3 partition which will be for your osx install.

IMPORTANT: all the partitions must be primary...any extended and this will not work

4) apply settings and reboot

5) install boot magic

IMPORTANT: after installing boot magic configure the windows boot settings in boot magic so when windows boots it can see the fat32 partition otherwise you will not be able to modify it's settings again.

6) restart with osx86 dvd in

7) Use the Disk Utility to format the ext3 to hfs+

8) Install osx86

9) reboot to windows

10) use the boot magic configuration to add the osx86 installation to the boot menu.

That's it now when you boot you should be able to select which system to boot.

Hope this helps some people.
