Hey guys :D

1st post!

Anyway, to my point - I've been trying to install 10.6 server on a HP DC7800p Convertible Minitower for the past week, and each time I am getting further. However, I think i've come up a cropper.

When I boot up using SATA Emulation - RAID in the bios, I get the following error:

Boot 0: GPT

Boot 0: Testing

Boot 0: Testing

Boot 0: Done

Boot 1: Error

I read somewhere that this can be circumnavigated by changing SATA to IDE. SO I did this, and now my bootloader boots!

HOWEVER:

Now, after selecting the partition in Chameleon RC3 - when booting in -v - I get a "still waiting for root device" error, which I am told is something to do with running in IDE mode. Just for clarification however, I also read this error occurs when it can't find the root device. But if this was the case, then how come Darwin finds my .kexts when I boot?

Stumped.

Thanks for replies in advance!
