pyrollama
@ 7yatna Your issue is totally unrelated to you OS. FCS 2 and will always prompt you with this at the start. It's mac's way of conforming and streamlining everything into a little silver box. They want to make sure they don't have people calling tech support when their drivers aren't connected, so they will always prompt you with this message till you unchecked that little alert box at the bottom of the box pdave54 showed you. Mac users have become so conformed to firewire, not even realizing fw400 and usb2 are equally matched, usb 2 even topping it when nothing else is connect to your ports. And when usb 3 comes out next year it will blow fw800 out of the water. I've meet novice editors, fanatic mac users, who believes you can only use firewire, simple programming. Use usb! Enjoy your hackintosh! Shot me an mp if you have any questions, you might want to check out the afterdawn and other forums for fcp questions. They all translate onto your system. If your os is running remember, everyone, including your computer, thinks you're on a mac, act like it!
