Gilgha Posted November 6, 2009 Share Posted November 6, 2009 Hi , I've got a Dell XPS M1530 with an Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 02) sound card. My iAtkos installation works fine but I can't have any sound ! I've made lots of search about that soundcard in OS X but nothing I've found worked. I'm even not sure which driver I should use. By now I've tryied to patch the AppleHDA.kext file with AppleHDAPatcher v1.20 with the ALC883 driver (ALC883.txt, ALC883.dump.txt, ALC883ICH8.txt). DamienValentine Posted November 6, 2009 Share Posted November 6, 2009 You can delete AppleHDA.kext and install VoodooHDA.kext version 0.2.2 (google it or try to look on www.kexts.com). AFAIK, ALC88* can work with native AppleHDA.kext through some kind of street magic/DSDT editing/AppleHDA patching. But VoodooHDA should work fine.
