Need help w/ Gateway MD7818U

So ... I'm pretty new to OS X ... but I've managed to get it installed and booting properly, but there are a slew of things that aren't working ... let's see if I can manage to get them all listed ...

 

1. Laptop keyboard - not working at all - USB keyboard works fine (as expected).

2. Laptop touchpad - not working at all - USB mouse works fine (as expected).

3. Video card doesn't seem to have drivers (or kexts, or whatever they're called) installed for it - I'm stuck at 1024x768 resolution with no other options available.

4. Wired network connection - not working at all - not even detected. I believe it's a Marvell model, but I'm not sure which exact model it is.

5. Wireless network connection - It's an Intel Wifi 5100 - after searching around, it seems as this is still not supported, but there are MANY people who are looking for this ... is this correct?

 

I guess that's it ...

Can anyone give me some suggestions on what I need to do in order to get more of this laptop working properly? Even if I could just get the video, keyboard, touchpad, and wired network working, I could live with plugging a network cable in to be online until the Intel 5100 is supported.

Another thing that isn't working - the sound card - or at least I think it's not working - I went into System Preferences > Sound and the Output and Input tabs both display "No devices found." - pretty good indication that it's not installed, right? Haha.
