duduclx
hi ! i'm french, so ...sorry for my english. first, i explan my config: 1/assus V1S with dual boot: -mac 10.5.5 (ideneb) -Snow leo (install from thumb drive and need it to boot) 2/thumb drive with two partition: -the bootloader (chameleon 3) with the disk image of snow leopard install -snow leopard 10.6.1 i got the same kernel panic (cpu=0) when i update to 10.6.2 ^^ you can find solution here and there: http://www.hackintosh-india.com/search/label/OSX8610.6 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=182227 these KP come from bad kext, and you may need: SMBIOSResolver - Mac model iMac9,1 CPUinjector.kext IntelPIIXATA.kext and insanelymac said to delete sleepenabler.kext ... maybe that the solution ! ? http://www.insanelymac.com/2009/11/snow-le...support-breaks/ i haven't test it ... i like easy way ... my snow leopard on hard disk is unmodified but still need the thumb drive to be booted. and that's work so great (100% fonctionnal) well, stay on 10.6.1 to not have trouble ... and if you still have kernel panic, see up, and don't forget than you need extensions.mkext, smbios.plist, com.apple.... and a DSDT ^^ even, if i see a perfect way to fix this trouble, i'll try it ! (terminal's way always failed for me ... no directory, no such files, i got no DSDT ... f**k !) good luck ! ps* bootloader in EFI partition look to be a good way ! think about it ! i'll try to find a way to fix this trouble, and to go to 10.6.2 without trouble !
