Indirec7
Hey Guys, i was capable of installing iAtkos V7 really well. but after updated to 10.5.8 my wireless started having some weird problems. First: It disconnects from my wireless without telling me so i have to turn Airport off and back on. Second: IT either crashes or takes a long time to load once i click to view available networks. and when i try to vchange settings in system preferences it does the same thing. My Wireless card is a DLink DWA-542 N RangeBooster. all the help would be awesome :censored2: thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/195969-problems-with-my-wireless-card/ Share on other sites
CharredPC
This sounds like it has a simple fix :censored2: If your card worked natively and was working great under 10.5.7, but then started having issues once you upgraded to 10.5.8... I'd assume the problem is the new wireless driver. Therefore, try rolling back to an older one. You should be able to pull the 10.5.7 kext (IO80211Family.kext) off of your iAtkos DVD using Pacifist, and install it with B7 Kext Helper. Or maybe someone here can supply a stock '.7 kext for you. It's definitely worth a try, and sometimes it's just that easy. I had to do something similar with my wifi card- the newer kext broke stuff!
