Hey folks,

 

installed Snow Leopard just a few days ago. Drivers work fine along with everything else. Exept for one little detail driving me crazy. After a certain period (i havent quite figured out which amount of time) the system freezes. Mouse still works, keyboard dead, system doesnt respond to any Mouse activity.

 

Im running a Asus P5Q-E Board if that does matter!?

Most PC hardware is not compatible with the way OS X does Power Management.

 

Try disabling automatic sleep and sleep for hard drives in the Energy Saver preferences.

 

Look around for ways to improve Power Management compatibility.

 

In your BIOS, activate all CPU features (except CPUID Limit) and under Power Management enable ACPI 2.0. Disable devices you don't use.

Try to get AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement running and look for ways to fix sleep and wake via DSDT. Here are three important threads on the subject:
