Trep
So, I picked up a sony HBH-PV700 today, only to find it dragging me back to the world of windows. On my 10.4.6 OSX86 install, it pairs and recognizes, but gives no audio in/outputs. This is a problem seen before, search for 'headset' to find it. My question is: Which bluetooth headset are you using and on what version of osx86? How does it work? How did you make it work? And so on... The wiki has nothing to say on this, but with a decent thred to this effect, folks like myself wouldn't be shooting in the dark. Big_Dawg
My Logitech doesn't work either, using zonet bt usb key. Apple suggests that OEM boxes should work post 10.4 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19590-bluetooth-headsets/#findComment-192083 Share on other sites
Bruce Wang
My system is updated to 10.4.7 from 10.4.5. I use Gigabyte GN-BTD02 USB BT dongle and SonyEricsson HBH-300 headset. After paired, go to System Preference/Sound and set Output Device to the headset. That's what I did to let it work. MrToikka
Wondering if anyone has run into this and what they have done about it. I am trying to setup my bluetooth headset to work with OS X 10.4.6 Patched by Myz. When I go to setup a new device in the bluetooth configuration (from System Preferences) I get "Failed to set up the headset. Headsets are not supported on your Bluetooth Hardware." Anyone else get this? 'Appreciate it guys... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19590-bluetooth-headsets/#findComment-200611 Share on other sites

I've found out that Bluetake's BT007SX does work as well (ie I can pair my plantronics with it but I don't get AudioIN/AudioOUT device in sound prefs). Bruce Bruce, Could you check Bluetooth preferences/click on your headset on the list and let me know what services are listed in your case? (I've got HS-Audio , HF-Audio with my Plantro 320) Do you have IOAudiofamily.kext installed? What about some other BT kexts?
