Roman78
I have an ASRock 775VM800 whit a P-IV 3.2 HT. Very fast. But only DDR single channel. I'm now up to a Dual Core CPU whit dual channel DDR-2. Roman78
The mainboard supports dual Core cpu. but only single channel DDR. So i'm up to buying a new mainboard :censored2: I thougt of an Asus P5WD2, but that one is not very cheap. Roman78
Same architecture one Via P4M800 Pro chipset. Little bit faster cause the DDR-2 (but stil single channel) and only 533 Mhz memory, not 667 or 800. For example DDR (1) is 400 Mhz, so you got 133 Mhz more. Roman78
The P5LD2 indeed uses the 945-chipset. But for the same money you get a P5WD2 whit the 955x chipset. At least here it's the same (about 120-130 euro's) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19583-what-is-cheap-and-good-board-for-os-x-1046/#findComment-128308 Share on other sites

Morden
Yeah. Anyway, with P5LD2 you get integrated GMA950 video, fully supported by Mac OS X. And GMA 950 is enough for not-gaming purposes. That's better. No searching for a graphic card. Does the card support QE and CI? /edit: i think you mean the P5LD2-V or P5LD2-VM. Because teh P5LD2 does not have video on board. /edit 2: the P5LD2-VM HD also support the new ViiV (what ever that may be) one more question i will use mac x86 for video editing eg final cut intel celeron 351 (3.2Ghz) Celeron for FC hmmm better go for a D9x cpu. Dual core and much more cache.
