Roman78
I'm thinking of a new PC/Mac and thought about an Intel Pentium D 930 with some 2 GB DDR-2 Ram in dual channel mode. But than the great question wat Chipset is the best for OSX. I've tryied some like Via P4M800 (on a cheap ASRock 775VM800 board) This one works quick (Cinebench tested) And some Asus whit a SIS-chipset (Slow as my :censored2: ) Now i was thinking of an Intel-chipset, because they are also in the Mac's (or not?); But witch one: Intel 975X Intel P965 Intel 955X Intel 945G Intel 945P or is via a better chipset for OSX? or maybe Nvidia? I was thinking of the Asus P5WD2 whit the 955x chipset. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19579-what-chipset-is-the-best/ Share on other sites
Andras Kenez
Intel 945G the best because has integrated -fully supported GMA graphics- I have Gigabyte 8I945G-MF board, and Intel Dual P4, Every component works LAN, Sound, SATA, PATA, Intel GMA, firewire withs JAS 10.4.6 (only has one drawback FSB is locked, overclcking not possible...)
