eXactOpposite
This is my first install of osx and i've never used osx at all other than clicking around in it some at the apple store. the installation i used was the 10.4.6 goatsecx dvd. the computer it's running on is one that i built. it's an opteron 144 (overclcocked to 2.6 gHz) 1-gig dual channel ram, ati radeon x700, installation is on a 40 gig drive. i'm using an epox motherboard with the nvidia nforce4 chipset. i have a 160 gig sata2 drive for linux (fedora), and a 250 gig for general storage. here are the things i'm either having trouble with or don't know how to do #1 i can't reboot/restart only shutdown. this is minor but if anybody has a fix for it i'd like to know #2 is there a driver for the radeon x700 that will allow me to have more options for screen resolution than 1024/768 and support core image/quartz extreme? #3 i'm looking for a way to make osx able to read my ext3 drives again i'm a TOTAL noob to osx right now, so keep that in mind. thanks in advance for your help. belgrano
#1 you can hack your mach_kernel like this. Be carefull with that, you can f**k up your OS X! #2 try with Callisto. #3 ...no idea...
