bdkennedy1
I've read that it's not nice to speak of a certain company who shall remain nameless here. Is it possible to dissect their boot disc? Yes they stole from the community but that boot disc works on any qualifying PC I've tried it on, so they must have a generic configuration to be able to boot most PC without having to customize ktexts and other things. I've been waiting 6 months for an easier way to boot my retail disk. I've tried reading the dozens of articles, clicking on dead links and reading stuff that basically involves the equivalent of learning how to program. Chameloen 2rc3 crashes on my machine and I doubt I'll ever get 10.6 installed on my machine because I won't buy their software. This may be of interest to you - have not and am unlikely to try but it might be the answer for those looking for simpler install methods.
