robin24
Hi all, OK, hope this isn't off topic here! I am running Mac os 10.6 Snow Leopard on a Mac Pro and now want to run a guest system (Mac os 10.6 Snow Leopard Server) in a VmWare Fusion virtual machine. Thing is, I really need the server to be able to output sound. After installing the os into the virtual machine and then installing VmWare Tools, I still don't get any sound output, also there are no available sound cards listed in the sound preferences of the vm. Now, what I found out is that playing sounds is actually unsupported in Fusion, which I think is really a shame. But, there seem to be some kernel extensions out there that enable sound functionality, I just don't know which ones I must use and if they will work with the most recent software! So, if there's anyone around who knows more about this, I'd be very thankful for some help... So, thanks for any hints!!!
