Hi,

after installing SL on VMWareWS7 all is working great except one key is missing from keyboard.

My notebook has an ISO german keyboard layout thus the <>| keys are between SHIFT and Y key.

The problem is not the key mapping this was solved by using Ukelele the problem is that pressing this key doesn't give any reaction even in Ukelele when keyboard type is set to ISO.

On my desktop PC with native SL installation and a Logitech USB keyboard pressing this key gives key code 10 and can be matched easily to correct chars.

I assume some problem with VMWare USB keyboard driver.

Any hints welcome.

Hi,

i have the same problem here. Before SL keyboard.vusb.enable = "FALSE" solved the problem but it doesn't work anymore...

the only solution i've found so far: connecting the usb keyboard manually (disconnect from host)

Maybe someone else have already solved the problem :)

Finally I could solve the issue using VMW7+SL 10.6.2:

1) Install darwin-wks7 from VMware Mac OS X Guest Package for ESX, Workstation, Player, Server and Fusion thread

2) Apply keyboard.vusb.enable = "FALSE" to vmx file to force PS/2 keyboard

3) copy Ukelele/Logitech Keyboard Layouts <your keyboard language> layout + icon into ~/Library/Keyboard Layouts

4) select your freshly installed layout in settings languages+text-> input

I have now working German keyboard with ISO layout.
