Netaro
I've posted that topic already in 10.6 installation section, but i think that was a wrong place to post the thread, so i'd like to repost the questions there, as maybe it's the more suitable place. So, i currently have samsung q210 laptop (specifications - Here), that is currently running 10.5.7. Everything works : I use CoreVidia injector, voodooPS2 with trackpad and VoodooHDA. So, i bought 10.6, and i've prepared the external drive. Installation works ok. I install OHR, PlatformUUID, fakeSMC, and NCPUPM kexts, and chmod and chown them appropriately. I also install modified DSDT.aml. I also install chameleon RC3. And there the problems begin. I search this forum for appropriate kexts for PS2 and HDA. First question: What shall i do with those prefPanes that are in downloaded packages? Where to put them? Ok, anyway, so i install VoodooPS2 with the apple ps2 nub in the package and HDA. I also create an EFI string for my video card. And here's another problem - the setup hangs when booting with efi string, or with GraphicsEnabler - Yes in boot.plist. WIthout them, it can start. So, how do i make an EFI string, or what's the newest NVidia injector for my card for SL? Next problem - looooong boot time. It takes two to three minutes to boot it. What's the problem? Next problem - No sound during the startup. So, SL's VoodooHDA is not working on my ALC226. But it works on my leopard. What to do? Next problem - Keyboard is detected. But my touchpad doesn't work, so i can't get past through the initial setup. I don't have any mouse ATM, and even if, i'd be more than unwilling to use it, because that's a laptop that's often used in places where it's impossible to use the mouse. What to do? Netaro
I was able to fix the sound and touchpad issue, but still, it boots long, Also, the main problem now is Nvidia Geforce 9200M GS. I'm able to set the resolution, but no qe/ci, and it works slow. Can't set transparency, either. So, is there any working EFI string or injector for this card?
