lacoste
Using JAS boot got my MAC OS working on the first boot (lucker :-)),, installed skge.kext as well and now having my ethernet wroking without a single problem (home network, internet working perfectly). On thew other hand cannot make my wireless adapter - ASUS WL-167g with RT 2500 chipset - to work. Using driver it does recognize and connects to my home wireless router/network but nothing more, does not recognize other computers and Safari says that my computer is no connected to internet. Any ideas? Thanks for any suggestion in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19535-mac-os-working-like-a-charm-but-my-asus-wl-167g-wlan-is-somehow-dead/ Share on other sites
cannabeus
it's the same for me. but the usb-adapter is recognized as an ethernet-connection and wonders that there is no cable plugged in. the system preferences tell me that the adapter is active. thanks for your help, cannabeus Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19535-mac-os-working-like-a-charm-but-my-asus-wl-167g-wlan-is-somehow-dead/#findComment-183449 Share on other sites
wondergod
usually once you install the driver you connect using thier software then goto system preferences -> network and set the en1(usually en1) to auto dhcp...then hit apply. you should then get some ip's and be able to connect. Sometimes you gotta do it a few times but once it connects its golden. Also you may want to try setting it to manual dhcp.
