vanggaard
Hi As everybody else how has a Thinkpad with the Intel WIFI, I can't get it to work with OS X and WEP. So now I'm looking for a good solution - a new WIFI card. So here is my questions: 1) Does the Mini-PCI Wireless Card - Broadcom 802.11g (http://www.machinaelectronics.com/store/buypart/BCM4306) fit in my IBM ThinkPad T42? 2) Will OS X recognise the card? 3) Can I use WEP with the card under OS X BG, Vanggaard Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/195134-thinkpad-t42-and-mini-pci-wireless-card-broadcom-80211g/ Share on other sites
vanggaard
I have now testet the setup and it works perfect!!! Before you insert the new card you have to hack/fix the bios so you don't get the: "1802 - Unauthorized network card is plugged in. Power off and remove the miniPCI network card" Here you can read about the 1802 fix and download what you need: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Problem_with...CI_network_card So if you are done playing with your intelcard and just want something that works, pay the 14 dollars and everything will work perfect //Vanggaard Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/195134-thinkpad-t42-and-mini-pci-wireless-card-broadcom-80211g/#findComment-1324584 Share on other sites
