Hi everybody, this is my first post here, because I always search a lot looking for answers, but for this one I can't find anything.

Here's my problem: I can't even boot the installation DVD, I've tried iAtkos v5, iAtkos v7 and iDeneb, but all I get, after pressing F8 inserting the parameters and pressing enter (I just get a few messages of loading stuff), is a weird text screen that looks like the content of a config file, as seen on the 2nd image.

I've tried everything: installed the hacked BIOS for MacOSX, changed SATA to AHCI, used -v -x cpus=1 busratio=20

I even tried connecting the HDD to another computer (a Core 2 Duo) and installed the OS successfully, but when I connect the HDD into my main PC I get the message of the 1st pic: "An Error Ocurred the OS will restart..."

I tried the Rebel EFI, but all I get is a giant counter (really bad graphics) that I don't know whats going on.

My specs:

Proc: Core 2 Quad Q6600

MB: Asus P5QL-EM

Video: ATI Radeon X1950XTX

4GB RAM

2 Internal SATA HDD

1 Internal SATA DVD drive

Could somebody help me?

Thanks!

Did you just select the bare minimum for your system?? like video, chipset, perephials, kernel?

I really don't remember, but I selected the video drivers from ATI. I just focused on trying to start the installation on mi PC.

i also inherited a P5QL-em with a quad core. all the leopard dvds i came across wont boot. they appear

to hang before the install screen. i tried -v -x cpus=1 and other stuff, nothing works.

all the links to the p5ql-em modded bios appear to be dead. can someone post a fresh link

i never got the DSDT modded bios.

a couple related p5q flashes i found wouldnt flash because the rom code did not match the mobo

I'll look for the BIOS I downloaded, I still must have it somewhere.

I tried my luck with Snow Leopard using this guide:

http://lifehacker.com/5360150/

I had to modify the screen resolution in a configuration file of Chameleon to 800x600x32, al least I got a Kernel Panic error, that was a progress. Then I tried upgrading Chameleon on the bootable USB to see if that solved the Kernel Panic error but I didn't find any easy guide, I got an Out of Memory Error. If you know how, please let me know.
