Kalyway 10.5.2 JMicron with IDE DVD Drive

Hello,

 

First off you'll have to excuse me for my lack of knowledge as I am new to installing osx86

 

I've burned the Kalyway 10.5.2 ISO to a DVD+R using Imgburn on my Windows 7 PC. Rebooted, and got the dreaded "System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found" error.

 

After some research I found out it was due to me using a IDE DVD-RW on a jmicron controller (If it helps i'm using the Abit ip-35 mobo). Additionally I found what appears to be the fix:

 

(Can't seem to post the link for some reason but it was a link to the release notes for Chameleon 1.0.11)

 

However, I've no idea how to implement this fix or any alternative fix that you guys might know of. From the website I can only seem to find source files of the versions mentioned in that article not any binaries - will the version 2 stuff work the same and if so how I can use them?
