MacSac
Hi I installed Snow Leopard 10.6 today having been on Leopard 10.5.3 previously. I have a nVidia 7600GS 256MB graphics card that was working fine with dual monitors (DVI and VGA output simultaneously with a DVI->VGA converter) but this is no longer working in my Snow Leopard installation. I have tried a variety of kexts including NVenabler64 and tried using the kext that worked with my video card and dual monitor setup in Leopard (found in the first post in this thread:http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=112727) but nothing has worked for me. VGA monitor takes primary display - once unplugged the DVI monitor comes on; as soon as i plug in the VGA monitor too then DVI monitor turns off. Note that the video card has dual DVI ports. I tried adding EFI strings using OSX86 Tools but not sure if I did it properly since the changes didn't show in com.apple.Boot.plist under "Extra" on my Snow drive (using Chameleon RC2). Also note that GraphicsEnabler y string is in Boot.plist (put there when I installed Chameleon). Any solutions? Thanks a lot guys I've solved all my recent hackintosh issues just through searching the forums but haven't found anything on this - help greatly appreciated. Thank you MacSac Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/195025-dual-display-not-working/ Share on other sites
MacSac
UPDATE: Tried GFX strings for my card and custom GFX strings (add VGA/DVI-I to NVcap) but still no joy. Solution: Installed the NVinject kext that I was using in Leopard, booted into 32-bit mode (arch=i386) and all is well. Any ideas on how to 'convert' the kext to 64-bit?
