Cging23 Posted October 30, 2009 Share Posted October 30, 2009 I have a problem that I hope that some of the great minds on this site can help me with. I have successfully install osx 10.5.7 with ideneb, after many tries i might add, and I can get it to boot. However every other time I have to boot in to safe mode with -x. After I boot into safe mode and restart I can boot up normally. Than the next time I have to go back to safe mode or else it wont boot. I have no idea what is causing this hopefully someone here can help me. Also as a side note I have a via vt1708s sound card built into my motherboard and I dont know what to do get the sound working (what kext to use). For that you can use Azalia kext, you'll get 2 channels output. Cging23 Posted October 31, 2009 Author Share Posted October 31, 2009 For that you can use Azalia kext, you'll get 2 channels output. another thing that just started happening is that now the kext helper says that it cannot login as root check password... i know that the password is correct because when I try to login with root at the login screen i put in the right password and the screen shakes for a second goes black and then back to login screen. Kext helper was working a couple days ago and Im not sure why it wouldnt be now. Any suggestions anyone?
