Guest jacobgeek
Help! When I turn on my laptop it goes to the darwin bootloader and does its normal countdown but then it is asking which partition I press enter (there is only one partition HFS+ Journaled) and it returns to the screen where it asked which partition to boot from. I orginally started out with iPC 10.5.6 and then upgraded to 10.5.7 then upgraded to 10.5.8 This could be the problem: I deleted the mach_kernel file while making my HDD look pretty. I have looked all over the Internet for a solution in which I do not have to format my HDD and reinstall. System Configuration: HP Pavilion dv 4000 Intel Pentium M 1.73GHz 2GB Total Ram Intel G15 Graphics Intel 2200BG WiFi (Using mercurysquad v5 driver) Mac OS X Info: Version 10.5.8 Quartz GL Enabled Voodoo Kernel XNU 1.0 Post or E-mail (jacobmagnant@gmail.com) answers. Guest jacobgeek
I fixed it. I typed in mach_kernel -x in the darwin prompt.
