forcrz6
Ok So i have tried several searches, and several other forums. I dont seem to be able to get this 1 issue fixed. I have the Nvidia 8400gs device ID 0x06e4 This is a 512 pci not PCI-e card. The card is being detected by iATKOS V7 But the Specs are not correct, so it is causing Graphical issues. Here is what the system is seeing. Display: Type: Display Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x1 VRAM (Total): 32 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x06e4 Revision ID: 0x00a1 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1024 x 768 Depth: 32-Bit Color Core Image: Software Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Not Supported now the Vram is not being read right. It should be 512 not 32 What Kext should I alter to adjust the V RAM if I am useing Vanilla install? Also b4 I am asked I have tried NVInject (Latest_NVinject.0.2.1_512Mb.zip) Does nothing but cause a kernel panic Along with a few others. Nothing seems to work and I also can not adjust the screen resolution. Giorgio_multi
From the id I suppose an Asus card. Try NVkush.kext by Diabolik (obviousely delete any other injector). With this card efistring sometime doesn't works. It just does not want to accept it. I went as far as to try Efi Tools and also changed the NVCAP in the nvinject to <key>NVCAP</key> <data> BAAAAAAAAgAAAAAHAAAAAA== BAAAAAAABQAAAAAHAAAAAA== BAAAAAAABgAAAAAHAAAAAA== BAAAAAAABwAAAAAHAAAAAA== BAAAAAAAAQANAAAAAAAABwAAAAA= BAAAAAAABAAAAAAHAAAAAA== </data> And Still got the panic Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194649-another-nvidia-8400-issue/#findComment-1313073 Share on other sites
forcrz6
10.5.8 update breaks my ethernet it worked in 10.5.6 what can i do From the id I suppose an Asus card. Try NVkush.kext by Diabolik (obviousely delete any other injector). With this card efistring sometime doesn't works. Giorgio Ok Maybe I am doing something wrong here. Let me go through what I am doing right now. I have nothing but vanilla installed (meaning I did not check anything upon install of the OS for the Video)for the Video cards, so I assume there are no other injectors. Am I correct in assuming this? I then Update the OS using the software updates. I then Download NVkush.kext Install it. I then set the following to this. <data> AQAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA== </data> and right after the </data> insert the text: <key>VRAM,totalsize</key> <data> AAAAIA== </data> I then reboot and Blamo, Kernel error. Am i missing something here? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194649-another-nvidia-8400-issue/#findComment-1313179 Share on other sites
