HackRMac
Hey! Situation I've had Leopard installed on my desktop for a few months now, but now windows 7 has been released, i would like to dual boot with Windows 7. I've looked at many guides but they start off with Windows 7 or Vista being installed prior to OSX Summary Is there a way to install it AFTER OS X as i have lots of files and applications which would take hours to re-install/copy? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194643-1056-and-windows-7/ Share on other sites
madhias
If you have an extra drive for Windows, just make this the 2nd boot device, 1st is DVD drive, and install Windows onto this drive. After installation, just make the boot device order in bios like it was before. If you have Chameleon bootloader, it recognizes the Windows 7 disk and boots it. I've installed Windows 7 like this 2 hours ago Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194643-1056-and-windows-7/#findComment-1313066 Share on other sites
HackRMac
Thanks!! That worked perfectly, just shoved a 2.5" drive in there and installed onto that, works awesome from chameleon boot loader.
