Hi, guys.

I have spent almost 2 weeks trying to install MAC OS X onto my computer, with the specs in my signature below.

I first tried with 3 different distro of leopard, iPc, iATKOS, and iDeneb, but with no success.

So I read a bit more, and thought it would be nice to install Snow Leopard straight, without 10.5.x.

I followed lots of guides, and did tons of research, however, there seems to an issue I just cant overcome.

Here is the problem.

I first used Bootthink. I put NullCPUPowerManagement.kext into C:\Darwin\System\LibrarySL\Extensions, and tried to boot the MAC OS X installation disc. in -v mode, it halted at: CPU 1 has no HPET assigned to it, or no HPET available. Someone suggested me to delete the AppleInteCPUPowerManagement.kext from the installation disc, so I did. However, it resulted another error: WaitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) .. timed out.

It was like bootthink couldn't load the NullCPUPowerManagement.kext from C:\Darwin\System\LibrarySL\Extensions. I also tried put this kext in installation disc/system/library/extensions/, but no luck.

Believe me, I did alot of search on the net, otherwise I wouldnt post a thread here. But none of them could solve my problem.

Can anyone PLEEEEASE tell me where I can put the kext or if I need to find other approaches. I also tried a windows version Chameleon, but couldn't find a folder to put the kext in. People said to put kext in the extra folder, but can anyone tell me where the /extra folder is located please, in windows, or do I have to create it myself?

Thank You in advance, and hope someone can solve the problem has been bothered me for 2 weeks....
