Darnei Tiger
Hello all. Im currently dual booting leopard (ideneb 10.5.7) and snow leopard 10.6.0. After a month of trying, i finally got SL up and running. everything works, except for my video. im stuck with one monitor at 1024x768. i go into system profiler and it shows "GPU" as my video card and no acceleration, and no resolution change options in displays. i tried copying over my NVkush, NVdarwin, and NVinject kexts from my leopard to snow leopard, but to no avail, nothing changes. I seem to be lost at this point. In leopard, system profiler reads:(mind you, my video memory is actually 256mb not a gig): NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS: Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS Type: Display Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 1024 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0400 Revision ID: 0x00a1 ROM Revision: NVdarwin 1.2.5 Displays: SyncMaster: Resolution: 1280 x 1024 @ 75 Hz Depth: 32-Bit Color Core Image: Hardware Accelerated Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Supported Rotation: Supported QuartzGL: Supported NSZ2107U: Resolution: 1600 x 1200 @ 90 Hz Depth: 32-Bit Color Core Image: Hardware Accelerated Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Supported Rotation: Supported QuartzGL: Supported I seem to be stuck at this point now, and cannot use snow leopard until i get this issue resolved. Does anybody have any advice for my situation? shoarthing
Remove all your video-enabler kextx: clear & rebuild the caches, make sure you have Chameleon RC3 or PC-EFI 10.x [current version is 10.5] installed, edit apple.com.boot.plist in E/E to include: <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <String>Yes</string> Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/194520-snow-leopard-stuck-in-1024-help-me-with-a-kext/#findComment-1312676 Share on other sites
